Chi-Chi Nagayo retained the MACW Women’s Championship in a No DQ match in 7:12 after a devastating powerbomb.
An announcement was made that the scheduled NAWC World Tag-Team Championship match would not be happening due to one of the title holders, Dory Funk, Jr., having travel difficulties and not being at the venue.
Appeared and said he came to North Carolina to whip pretty-boy ass, and Dory Funk, Sr., was in the building, and could substitute for Dory Jr.
The Rock n’ Roll Express accepted the substitution, as did the MACW Comissioner, Lenny “Hopscotch” Waterson.
The Rock n’ Roll Express defeated The Funks(Terry & Dory, Sr.) in 24:12 after Ricky Morton pinned Dory Funk, Sr. with a flying rollup to win the NAWC World Tag Team Championship.
After the match, NAWC Chairman Carl D. Zilla comes out to declare the previous match invalid as the substitution was not sanctioned or cleared by the NAWC Championship Committee.
Apparently, Dory Funk, Jr. had just arrived to the venue and offered The Rock n’ Roll Express another title shot that same night. The Rock n’ Roll Express accepted.
Shiro Fuji defeated Gran Hamada with a German Suplex in 16:38 to regain the MACW Cruiserweight Championship.
Terry Taylor defeated Pirata Morgan in 19:19 by knockout.
Andre The Giant, Brad Armstrong, and Bob Armstrong defeated Matt Borne, Baron von Rachke, and Paul Jones when Andre pinned Borne after a Giant Elbow Drop in 23:1234:
The Funks defeated The Rock n’ Roll Express in 28:51 when Dory Jr made Ricky Morton submit to the Spinning Toe Hold to retain the NAWC World Tag Team Championships.
